103) CELEBRITY CURLY HAIR PICTURES

You may have seen the Celebrities curly hair slideshow on my main blog page.  Here are more hairstyles with a description of the various curly hairstyle.

Black hair has a wide range of textures.  It can be straight to the ultra-curly.  Check out the Celebrities who have natural curls or otherwise.  See if any of these hairstyles strike your fancy.

CURLY LOOK NO. ONE

Alicia Keys' Loose Waves

Loose Waves

Recreate it: A medium-barrel curling iron will help you get these loose waves, whether your hair is relaxed or not. If you want crisp definition in your natural curls, use the iron to define select pieces.

CURLY LOOK NO. TWO

Jill Scott's Full and Magnificant 'fro

NEW YORK - OCTOBER 11:  Jill Scott appears onstage during BET's 106 & Park at the BET Studios October 11, 2007 in New York City.  (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images)

Full and Magnificent Fro

Recreate it: If you already have a good cut in place, like Jill Scott does here, and your hair is similar to hers, just shampoo it and let it air dry. Apply natural oils to wet or dry hair, or spray dry hair with an oil sheen if you like.

CURLY LOOK NO. THREE

Laura Izibor's Natural Curls

LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 19:  Singer Laura Izibor arrives at the 4th annual "Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film" awards held at The Ebell Club of Los Angeles on February 19, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.  (Photo by Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images for The US-Ireland Alliance)

Natural Curls

Recreate it: A great cut makes this styling job a breeze. Let natural curls and coils be themselves, but add definition with finger twirling where desired. Style hair while wet or damp, let it air dry and that's it -- you have a full-volume 'fro that's completely unique.

CURLY LOOK NO. FOUR

Lisa Gay Hamilton's Low-maintenance Curls

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 20:  Actress Lisa Gay Hamilton arrives at the premiere of 'The Soloist' on April 20, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.  (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Low Maintenance Curls

Recreate it: Want low-maintenance hair? Short cuts can give you that ease. This is super easy to recreate if your hair is cut the same way. Wear natural hair as is, or texturize it if you want more defined curls. Cover at night with a big bonnet and finger style in the morning, spritzing with water or a product like Ojon Revitalizing Mist to fluff curls back to life.

CURLY LOOK NO. FIVE

Monique Coleman's Big Hair

SANTA MONICA, CA - JUNE 07:  Actress Monique Coleman arrives at the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards on June 7, 2009 in Santa Monica, California.  (Photo by Valerie Macon/Getty Image

Big Hair

Recreate it: Already have natural hair that's similar to Monique Coleman's? Pick it out with a plastic pick, after applying a product like Carol's Daughter Hair Milk. At night, you can loosely twist your hair (it doesn't have to be neat) to prevent tangling and then cover with a bonnet. In the morning, undo the twists and pick out for big volume.

CURLY LOOK NO. SIX

Rissi Palmer's Big Volume Hair

LAS VEGAS - MAY 18:  Singer Rissi Palmer arrives at the 43rd annual Academy Of Country Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 18, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Big Volume Hair

Recreate it: Got curls for days like Rissi Palmer? Use a product like Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue on wet hair and allow to dry. You can also wet set on perm rods and backcomb for additional volume.

CURLY LOOK NO. SEVEN

Sophie Okonedo's Soft Curls

LONDON - JULY 17: (UK TABLOID NEWSPAPERS OUT) Actress Sophie Okonedo arrives at the UK Premiere of ''Stormbreaker'' at Vue West End, Leicester Square on July 17, 2006 in London, England. (Photo by Dave Hogan/Getty Images)

Soft Curls

Recreate it: Ladies who already have a texture like Sophie Okonedo's can simply wet style it, but finger curl sections where you want added definition and more controlled curls. You can also wet set hair on perm rods; once hair is dry, gently pull apart curls to create more volume.

CURLY LOOK NO. EIGHT

Syesha Mercado's Head Full of Curls and Coils

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - JUNE 14:  Singer Syesha Mercado performs at the Los Angeles Pride Festival on June 14, 2009 in West Hollywood, California.  (Photo by Angela Weiss/Getty Images)

Head Full of Curls and Coils

Recreate it: Here, Syesha takes advantage of her hair's natural texture. If your hair is similar, style it while wet or damp with a lightweight holding gel like Paul Mitchell Super Clean Sculpting Gel. You can also get similar results on straightened hair by wet-setting on small perm rods and drying under a hood or bonnet dryer. Once curls are dry, do not comb or brush. Finger fluff if needed and pin up each side, while letting the front hang down.

CURLY LOOK NO. NINE

Tamara Tunie's Glam Hair

NEW YORK - OCTOBER 25:  Actress Tamara Tunie attends the 3rd Annual Thurgood Marshall College Fund FRONT ROW fashion show at Roseland Ballroom on October 25, 2008 in New York City.  (Photo by Neilson Barnard/Getty Images)

Glam Hair

Recreate it: Hair that's naturally curly or texturized can be styled like this with an application of gel or holding mousse. You can also recreate it on small perm rods or with a small-barrel curling iron.

CURLY LOOK NO. TEN

Tempestt Bledsoe's Natural Waves

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 28:  Actress Tempestt Bledsoe arrives at the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.  (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty mages)

Natural Waves

Recreate it: Tempestt Bledsoe has been a longtime natural hair wearer and this style showcases her hair's versatility. Natural ladies, simply style your hair into two-strand twists and let them set for several hours, overnight or for a few days. Turn your twists into a twist-out like this by simply unraveling them.

CURLY LOOK NO. ELEVEN

Tracie Thoms' Perfect Little Spirals

SANTA MONICA, CA - FEBRUARY 24:  Tracie Thoms arrives at the 22nd Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards held at Santa Monica Beach on February 24, 2007 in Santa Monica, California.  (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Perfect Little Spirals

Recreate it: These highly defined spirals can be achieved with
  • Skinny perm rods and setting lotion
  • Finger twirling wet hair saturated with gel or setting foam
  • A small barrel curling iron on dry hair
You have a few different options in achieving this particular look, which features carefully controlled curls.

CURLY LOOK NO. TWELVE

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - MARCH 26:  Actress Vanessa Williams arrives at Chrysler LLC's 6th Annual Behind The Lens Award presented to director Spike Lee at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on March 26, 2008 in Beverly Hills, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Voluminous Curls

Recreate it: Ladies with relaxed or texturized hair can get a style similar to this with a straw set or skinny twists unraveled into a twist out. Simply use setting lotion or foam on wet hair and allow to fully dry. Natural-haired ladies can also style this with a twist out -- if humidity is a problem, try a light holding product like Organic Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel when twisting damp hair.
