What's the secret that celebrity makeup artist knows that you wish you knew to make your eyes look luminous?

Whenever I watch a red carpet event, I notice that female celebrities such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow all have beautifully made up eyes that sparkles and radiates a special something.

What are the tricks?
In fact there are several that you can try to get bright and huge eyes.
Eyelashes
If your eyelashes are not naturally long, try curling them before applying mascara. This will really open up your eyes.
Alternatively, you can apply mascara first, let it dry and then curl lashes.
For extra staying power, blow your lash curler with a hairdryer for at least 3 seconds. Make sure to test the metal is not too hot before clamping your upper lashes.
Should you apply mascara on the lower lashes?

Well it all depends. The makeup experts advise is to avoid applying mascara on the lower lashes as they believe it makes the eyes smaller. At least for some women, this is true. But for others, eyeliner and mascara on the lower lashes can instead make a big difference.
So try it out and see if you belong to the first group or the second group of women. If you are not sure, get a good friend to give you the final verdict.
How to apply mascara?
Hold the brush vertically, apply mascara on the lower lashes by sweeping the brush in a zigzag pattern.
To line the lower lashes, use a pencil eyeliner as it tends to be softer. For a natural look, smudge the line with your finger.
Falsies
Unless you are born with long and thick eyelashes, falsies will come in handy to achieve a pair of luminous eyes.
Individual false lashes look very natural, gorgeous and exotic. However, this has to be done by a professional makeup artist. Check with the bridal or departmental store cosmetic counters for such services so that you can compare prices.
The other option is to get false eyelashes sold at counters in most departmental stores. You can even find false eyelashes being sold in drugstores, too. Choose the ones that has a feathery feel and gentle curve.
If the lashes are too long, trim with a pair of sharp scissors.
Makeup Artist's Secret-White Shadow
White eyeshadow makes your eyes look brighter and whiter. Just put a bit at the inside corner of your eyes near the tear duct and your eyes will instantly brighten up.
Look closely at pictures of celebrities when they walk on the red carpet. You can clearly see the white shadow in their inner eyes.
Another trick to get the doe eyed, sexy look, try lining your lower lids with a creamy white eye pencil.

Manicured Brows
A well manicured brow can literary transform your face. Most women are not aware that they will look ten times better when they have their brows tweezed or waxed.
Get professional help to shape your eyebrows that suits your face. Maintain it and tweeze the brows yourself by following the shape they have created.
