I believe that every person would spring to action when they are motivated by merely an idea, a person, an object, a phrase or just a simple act of kindness.  Reading quotations can also bring inspiration and motivation. The best quotes comes from prominent people of all walks of life. Be it a famous talk show host like Oprah Winfrey, a billionaire and philanthropist like Warren Buffet, a learned scholar such as C.S. Lewis, charismatic politicians like John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.

Here are a list of gratitude quotes you may find inspiring and meaningful.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

Bring gratitude into your life

  • Meditate or reflect on all the things in your own life that helped you or give you pleasure.
  • Write a gratitude diary, post pictures and write about the things you feel grateful for each day.
  • During the holidays, express your gratitude to friends and family by writing  cards and exchanging thoughtful, personal gifts.
  • Make your own cookies and give as a gift to your neighbors, share food with the poor or find other ways to express your appreciation for the abundance of food in our country.
Gratitude leads to feelings of love, generosity, appreciation and compassion which will open our hearts wider and positively light up our brains synapses.
